Who is (and who’s not) running for president in 2024? Here’s a list of the candidates.

Ahead of the 2024 election, a number of Republicans and Democrats have officially declared their candidacies for their party’s nomination for president.

So far, the list of Republicans vying for the White House includes former president Donald Trump, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, former vice president Mike Pence, former New Jersey governor Chris Christie, former Arkansas governor Asa Hutchinson, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley, North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, former Texas representative Will Hurd, Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, and conservative radio host Larry Elder.

Cornel West, a prominent scholar, activist, and former Harvard professor, is running for president as a candidate for the People’s Party.

President Biden, Marianne Williamson, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are among the Democrats seeking the presidency.

Here’s a look at the candidates:

Former Maryland Governor Larry Hogan and New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu announced they won’t be entering the GOP field.
