This is Globe financial columnist Larry Edelman with some news that we hope will grab your interest.

I am launching a twice-a-week newsletter on March 6 called Trendlines.

Every Monday and Friday I will be writing about the forces shaping business and the economy in Boston and beyond, keeping you on top of the news affecting companies, jobs, the stock market, housing prices, and your personal finances. You’ll get the latest on industries from tech and crypto to health care and biotech, and topics including diversity and sustainability.

And you’ll get insight and perspective not only from me, but my Globe colleagues and outside experts who are closely following the trends you need to know about.

I’ve been covering business for most of my career. Before starting my column a few years ago, I was the Globe’s deputy managing editor for local, regional, and business news. I first arrived at the paper in 1989 as a technology reporter, before moving up to assistant business editor and then business editor. I left in 1999, spent a few years in corporate America, and then went on to work as a senior editor at Bloomberg News and The Wall Street Journal. I came back to the Globe in 2015.

For an idea of the kinds of stories you will find in Trendlines, here are links to a few of my more recent columns.

I’m excited to be starting the newsletter and I sincerely hope you find it a must-read.
